Taylor Swift's full name is Taylor Alison Swift. Taylor Swift was born on December 13th, 1989 in West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.A. Taylor Swift became famous as a singer and songwriter in early 2001, with stories of pain and heartbreak. Swift started to exhibit an enthusiasm for the industry of music as early as age. Her career progressed rapidly from children's play roles, through her first public appearance in front of thousands. Swift in 2011, aged 11 at the time, performed The Star-Spangled Banner during a Philadelphia 76ers' basketball game. The year after that Swift began writing her own songs. Swift, who took her inspirations from Shania Twain's music and her band the Dixie Chicks now known as The Chicks in the world of country music, created the original songs she wrote to express her feelings of alienation. In the year 13 Swift's parents decided to sell their farm in Pennsylvania in order to relocate to Hendersonville Tennessee so she could devote more of her time to wooing labels from the country near Nashville.
